I went to this site called funnyjunk.com and I somehow got to this page World's Mosy's Annoying Page Two. It has like a little box saying "Hi" and the only thing you can click on is ok. I clicked on okay until it was over and now it just started over again. I can't x out the screen or right-click the page on the task bar. I can't shut the computer off because my dad said not to or else the computer will get messed up. Do any of you know what other options? please?? It is so annoying!

use CTRL + ALT + DEL to bring up the task manager, select the 'processes' tab and find all image names called 'iexplore.exe' - right click each one and choose 'end process' to close internet explorer.

just for the record, your dad doesn't know much. even if you took the drastic step of holding down the power button for 5 seconds to hard switch off the pc, the chances of there being any damage are very slim. it's not advisable except in extreme circumstances, but as i say it's a tiny risk of damaging the spinning hard drive.

if you chose to shut down via the start menu, it would simply close internet explorer (and any other programs) and then shutdown the machine, doing no harm.

as your question suggests, you're on a joke page - the world's most annoying page is meant to be funny/annoying simply because you can't get rid of it. it's not spyware, it's just javascript and a joke that isn't massively funny.

closing internet explorer via the task manager and not re-visiting that page will be the end of your problems - all the people saying it's spyware haven't even bothered to read your question properly or are giving their same standard reply for anything to do with supposedly 'strange' pc behaviour. now there's a surprise on yahoo answers, i don't see THAT happening on every other question. *sigh*

once you click that ok button they have access to your computer by providing you with a cookie which installed in your browser or they put a file into your systems 32 folder the best way to get rid of it is a anti virus sweep of your computer if that does not pick it up go for ad-aware and spybot search and destroy try as many cleaners you can to locate this problem it sounds like spyware or adware.
good luck

two ways:

1. ALT+F4, if this doesn't work then use method two.
2. CTRL+ALT+DEL, it should start up on the Applications tab. select the one that describes the window then click "End Task"

After this is done run an ad-ware search. If when you close the window it comes back then kill your internet connection then close.

Yep, you picked up a bug somewhere. Start by clicking on Tools, the Internet Options, then clear history and cookies.

Then log on and download a free program called Spybot Search and Destroy. Its a free program and works great. Download it, install it and run it.

Yup.. use CTRL + ALT + DEL to get it closed. If it continues to happen, resort to spyware programs. I reccommend spybot search & destroy from download.com
