I am not a witness, but wrestling is actually a gentlemens sport. There are enought rules so you won't get hurt and it has one of the lowest injury rates. It's not like street fighting and the person you are wrestling is agreeing to wrestle you.

The matter is a personal family one, but admittedly most Jehovah's Witnesses would likely choose a different activity. Wrestling's association with violence and intense personal competition seem difficult to reconcile with Christ's personality and teachings.

Wrestling alone will not disqualify an otherwise qualified candidate from being approved as a publisher (which permits his participation in Jehovah's Witnesses' formal house-to-house ministry) or his later attempt to qualify for baptism. However, regular participation in wrestling seems likely to preclude most privileges in the congregation.

well i think you should talk to an elder but i think if wrestling's going to take up your time that you can be spending on learning more bout God N preaching then you shouldn't do it- and if it interferes with service or your meeting night you should consider that too

my boyfriends mother is of the faith, and i know it is a sin to inflick bodily harm, but i don't know if it counts in sports since it is unintentional.---your best bet is to ask an elder, just to be sure.

Dude everything is wrong for that religion. That religion is fake, so just drop it, and follow your dreams. Join wrestling.
