OK... I was in your shoes not too long ago... The main thing is that you be yourself, people can tell when you're being fake. They're going to ask you why you want to be a nurse, the most important thing to answering this question is to be passionate. Everyone says it's because they want to help people, but you need to be more specific, really dig deep down in yourself to answer this one, and be passionate about it. Next, you're going to have to explain how you're commited to the program, nursing school is tough, I won't lie, there's about a million things to learn and become proficent at. You'll need to tell them this is what you've wanted to do your entire life, and that your commited 100% to making it happen, tell them you'll study hard, really absorb everything you learn and be able to apply it to clinical practice. All of us nurses are type A personalities, all very confident people with egos, it's not an easy job, and they have to see that you're a strong and confident person. If they ask you what your weaknesses are, be honest... but to a point, don't tell them you're disorganized or easily overwhelmed, but you are going to have to come up with something that isn't your strongest point. (This was the toughest part for me... I'm not a very humble person.) I hope I was helpful. Good luck, I'm sure you'll love nursing as much as I do. And, as tough is school is sometimes, don't take anything for granted, I miss nursing school to this day, and you'll make great friends for life.
