My boyfriend tells me that not only he, but his mother saw what I can only describe as a "Shadow Man" when he was quite young. He and his mother seemed rather frightened by the figure, and claimed that they smelled smoke the whole time they saw this... thing. I've never seen a "Shadow Man" but I've seen a ghost in my lifetime. I wasn't scared though, I felt sad to know that this spirit was doomed to walk the Earth for all time.

If you wouldn't mind, please share your experience.

One cool fall night my parents had gone out after locking up the house I decided to read while in bed in the basement. I heard someone going through our backyard whistling a tune of just five notes, and I thought that strange someone letting their presents known in our backyard.
Knowing everything was locked I didn't worry, and then I heard the whistling in the garage that came through the locked door and it slowly came down the stairs whistling the same tune slowly over and over. The basement door has a pneumatic closer that keeps the door closed and makes this airy noise each time it operates, the whistling comes inside the door into the recreation room and no noise frome the door closer. It's true about a cold sweat because I was sweating bullets, when I determined it was in the middle of the room I looked out to see if someones there. At that moment it stopped and there wasn't anything there and all the lights were on. The the whistling started again going back up the stairs and out the door with no other sounds and was gone.

When I was in grad school, I lived in a rented basement room. Many times, I'd wake up to see smoke drifting across the ceiling, or I'd smell something burning when I came in. A basement is the LAST place I'd want to be in a fire, but when I talked to my landlady, she became very hostile and told me not to worry about it.

There was a common TV room for the tenants, and one night, I came in to find a party going on. I stayed for a few minutes, then went into my room and locked the door. I decided to go to bed, even though I knew the noise level wasn't going to let me get much sleep.

I laid down, turned over on my side toward the door. . .and there stood a tall, transparent male figure in what I could only think of as turn of the century clothing. He looked at me for a few seconds, then vanished instantly, leaving me about as scared as it ever gets.

Grad students taught English 100 at this college, and around Halloween, I was teaching a lesson on classification. I decided to use the campus ghost stories as an example, thinking it would be fun and timely. We talked about the theater ghost, the dorm ghosts, etc., and then one my students raised his hand to tell me a story. One that I'd never heard before.

Seems that the campus Lutheran chapel was haunted by the ghost of a former college president. He'd been seen in period clothing, and he haunted the chapel because his house had stood on the same spot. It had burned down in the late 1890's, and the chapel was build much later on that same spot.

Which, incidentally, was right next door to the rooming house where I lived!

The Shadow people...........I used to live in an old Victorian house in Detroit and it seemed that once a month there was a constant stream of shadow persons in and out of my bedroom, and it would last for about an hour or so. It almost seemed that my room was like a way station to them. For awhile I thought it was just me, but then I had a neighbor stay the night and he fell asleep on the settee in my room and sure enough, that was the night the shadow person parade happened! After they had all gone I looked over at the settee and there was poor Aaron white as a sheet and shaking! All he could say was "NO WAY" I looked at him and asked him if he saw them and he said yes! I told him that I was glad that he saw them too cuz I thought that I was losing my mind!

When I was in high school a friend of a friend lived in a supposedly haunted house. I had an opportunity go over there to get ready for a party with my friend and the girl whose house it was. We were talking about all of the weird things that had happened to her in the house while we listened to music and put our make up on and did our hair for the party we were going to. In the middle of our conversation we stopped and realized the music had quit playing. This was in the late 80's when you used to record your music on tapes. When we got to the family room the tape was going but nothing was coming out. She stopped the tape and rewound it. When she hit play we could hear someone talking on the tape it in a low almost whisper voice and couldnt make out what was being said. The hair on my neck was standing up and I imeediately got goose bumps all over. We all hurried and got our things and left the house. I never went back. Not sure what ever happened to the tape.

there is not any evidence the mystical exists. Your pal become the two making it as much as attempt to scare you or telling you some dream she had, and might't tell aims from actuality. Who in simple terms ignores some unknown individual strolling around their mattress? no person.

One time I woke up and my pants were around my ankles, there was a rose on my pillow and my butt hole really hurt. Then I saw a shadow on the wall that wasn't mine and it kept winking at me. It was the darnedest thing.

Bush's reelection- now that was paranormal!

But seriously folks, I did awaken once at 3am to see a ball of light widen out in a doorway and an elderly fellow with suspenders and a t-shirt stand there- then it shrank back into a ball and vanished.
