Orgasmic birth is when you try to stimulate orgasm during the birthing process. (for all you ignorant people out there) I have not tried it, so I can't say for sure whether or not it works. I would imagine that it would be like any other pain control techinque during childbirth, different people would experience different results with different degrees of success. For some women it might work quite well, but I think a lot of women would be uncomfortable trying to acheive that degree of intimacy with their partner (or even their right hand) in a hospital room that nurses would be coming and going out of on a regular basis. Also you much consider that the type of stimulation would be limited, no penetration of the vagina and no use of vibrators would be allowed in any hospital.

Are you referencing the practise of massage around the opening to the birth canal to stretch the outer skin to hopefully avoid tearing. Orgasmic it is not, sex would be the last thing on any ones mind. Perhaps getting in touch with a midwife would help to clarify any further misconceptions you may have with the subject of birthing a child.

That is about the last thing I would be thinking about in the middle of labor. I think it would be kinda creepy (for me anyway) to combine the birth of my child with an orgasm. Must work for some chicks though.
Why do you need to be so "high and mighty" pritti? I am so very sorry that not all of us are blessed with such an expanse of childbirth knowledge. Give it a rest.

That sounds really disgusting.. I can just imagine the mother's thoughts about her childs birth... Mmm, baby, you were the best ever! That is so gross... Was that a typo? Please tell me it was... Or are there really practices of orgasmic births?
Pritti... You are so cool to know about orgasmic birthing. I'm just an ignorant fool. I should have paid more attention in school when they taught us the process of orgasmic birth. God, I'm such an ignorant IDIOT!!!!

After giving birth to two children....and deeply respecting and admiring women who have given birth to more....I have to agree that achieving the big O was not even on my radar screen during labor and delivery. The urge to have one was, incidentally, what put me in that wonderful state (childbirth) of pain nine months before. Oh, yes I am certainly glad that I have experience childbirth and motherhood....but I think this idea is very whacky.

Please, really now. I'm not a woman, and even I can understand how silly that sounds. The pain of childbirth is legendary. Even the most die-hard S&M freak would find orgasm during child-birth a near impossibility.

Look, miss pritti, where do you get off calling people that don't know the answer, ignorant? So you know it...good for you! Next time you want to participate, do it like a lady and keep the "ignorance" to yourself.

I have six children and that would have been impossible for me to think about anything sexual.
