Prague has excellent mass transit. The subway has three lines that form a triangle with six arms extending further out. It's clean, cheap and easy to use.

There are also busses and streetcars. I like the streetcars so you can see things as you go thru the city; the subways are faster if you're going across town.

If you haven't already bought your airline ticket, you might look at taking the train from Frankfurt to Prague. Czech trains are not quite as fast as the ICE in Germany, but they are great.

You must see the Charles Bridge twice (once in day and once at night). Other than that, Prague is on a river with the castle on one side and most everything else on the other. Take mass transit to the park above the castle then walk down to the castle, and down the hill from there.

For shopping, look for crystal.

Prague is great!
One page that may help you to plan is this one:
http://www.prague.cz/
it is in english.

It is really easy to get from the airport into town. Their are running busses.
To get around, use the underground, the tram or simply go on food. Everything in the inner city is in walking distance, and it is much more fun to go for a walk and have a nice view over the river, the old castle and houses.
do not miss to go up to the castle through the small streets.

There is a wonderful café. When you are high over the city near the entrance to the castle you have to look down and you´ll see a garden on a terrace. The café is really cute. a little bit oriantel.

If you have an accomodation without breakfast there is a shopping mal a little bit outside of the city. Here you can go shopping and have a great, delicious and cheap breakfast.

Have a nice time in Prague.

Well I know Prague more than well.
Go to ZLUTE LAZNE disco club - huge one, just at the Charles Bridge (downtown side)
or to LUCERNA MUSIC BAR (Vodickova street) - 50 m from the Wenceslas square.
There is many more clubs, discos, pubs etc in downtown, especially the old town area (around old town square, prikopy). Wenceslas square is fine too, but its more like night clubs and stuff, u know. have fun.
PS you can party whole night for less than 50 bucks in a pocket

how to get there from frankfurt ? i dont know, try CSA (czech airlanes), i expect about 100 euros a ticket
