I assume you mean f(x) = 5 / (x+2).

Substitute m-2 for x in the formula for f(x).

You get f(m-2) = 5/(m-2+2) = 5/m.

just substitute (m-2) for x.

5/(m-2) + 2
=5/m-2+2
=5/m
