If you're using Windows, TrueType fonts are entirely scalable as they are defined by their geometry. For the point size, multiply the height in inches by 72. Keep in mind the size refers to the measurement from the baseline to the top of the capitals, and the depth of the descenders will vary from font to font.

If the included fonts aren't to your liking just look for free or public domain TrueType fonts. There are lots of sites out there that have them.

Why not just look through a magazine to find styles of type you like and enlarge them on a photo-copier. A3 size will suit your needs. Try to find a site called "scriptorium". I think they are still on the net. They had some unique fonts.
