North Korea has nuclear weapons and it seems that nobody even cares. Bombs are not good, it kills people and yet people are going about their daily lifes.

I could think of a couple of cliches:
~Out of sight, out of mind.
~Ignorance is bliss.
People tend to ignore issues if they are directly effected by them. IMO, it's important to be informed about issues like the Korean nuclear weapons and I make it a point to discuss current events with my daughter and my husband.
