I can understand the confusion.
An example of showing motion in a still life might be to depict running water or the action of the wind on the leaves of a tree or plant.
Perhaps a spider in its web or even the movement of the spider. Something which remains in a particular location but may exhibit movement.
Water is a fascinating subject. Even the splashing of water dripping or running fast from a tap (faucet in USA) into a basin or bath.
Something which has movement but remains in 'the same place'. Have fun!

Definitely an everyday scene from your home, look around and see if there are any accidental arrangements of objects in one of the rooms. Find a collection where a number of different textures and surfaces are present, as this will allow you to try out different strokes or ways of mark-making. Definitely steer clear of bowls of fruit.

Look around your house. A refrigerator with magnets holding pictures. An up-side-down bucket, wheel barrow, a water faucet, sink with a rubber ducky on its side. Several bottles of cologne setting on a dresser with a comb and brush. A book shelf with a section of various shades of book backs. Look for common things that don't move in your home. good luck!

Rocks in the back garden, forest leaves, a still life gives the viewer a good sense of your style so be creative and develop your own. (slight of hand if you will...)
Give the shadows cast life, slight and light, objects hard or coarse shape and movement should be apparent?
just a guess tho, do a few sketches 2 min each and see if you want to use that style or viewpoint...

A humming bird....has very beautiful colors that you could show off...also its wings are always in motion even when it appears still. It should look cool...a humming bird in the garden near a bird house or flower or something!! All the best for whatever you draw!! =o)

I noticed your name - ship sails, is it? Why not try to draw a ship? Or a boat, or even anything in nature ( the clouds in the sky, etc.) Most of all, try to create a work of art from whatever YOU like to draw or paint. Good luck!

Apples. Apples are good. They don't tend to move much as a rule. They taste good, too. Umm.... I sure do enjoy the tasty fine goodness of apples. I like ketchup, too. Not on apples, though. That's gross.
