This one's easy. Most of the ones who *do* look like the gender they're aiming to be won't announce that they're transsexual. Some of them won't even admit it if you asked them straight out - not that you would, cuz you wouldn't think to ask in most cases.)
So it's really just the ones who don't 'pass' that get noticed.

You also have females that look like men without being transgendered. But i do agree, having seen her on stage, Dana looked amazing!!!
And as someone mentioned, you only ever spot the one that they succeed to blend... I can tell you that a hell of a lot of transgered are more sexy, feminine etc than many natural women

Because their view of the other gender is exaggerated by not having actually experienced it.
Several years ago at a birthday party for my husband, one of our friends, several years post op, opened the refridge and took out a beer and guzzled it down. Now this girl is more beautiful than most natural born women, long legs, beautiful eyes and face, long wavy blond hair. I just laughed at her and said, you know they can fill you with all the hormones available and cut off anything you want, but you still drink beer like a guy. We both laughed at the silliness of the situation.
The fact of the matter is that alot of pre-op and post-op trannies aren't real attractive. That's because, frankly folks, we all aren't all that attractive.

Surgery cannot alter the bone structure and basic body shape of a person who is transgendered. So therefore, if you look like a man before the operation, you'll probably look like a man after the operation. Furthermore, the operations usually leave the person operated on sterile and a pale copy of a real womanor man. Either way, they are still a man masquerading as a woman or a woman masquerading as a man and are ( post op) actually a person who has mutilated themselves in an attempt to be something they are not.

You're just wrong here. Some can look very much like the women they are aiming to be. It depends on the hormone treatments and their facial structure to begin with.

they may not be attactive to you as you seem to be shallow minded
i look at the person that is inside
a person that is broken and i trying to fix them self
i admire the TS/TG's as they are doing somethng about it
weather it works or not at least they try
if you had half their problems you would never had asked this question as it will ofend many people
people that try to fit into the society just as every body does
but find it harder
as they cross the only line
that makes them who they are

Because you can't spot the ones that pass.
The ones that don't pass are in the in-between phase. 0 to 12 months on hormones or haven't had facial feminization surgery.
You see a few that don't pass and assume they all don't pass. You're just ignorant.
