Sometimes when I click on a page, that page will come up but also, off to the side or on the top of the page, "this page cannot be displayed" appears. This happens even when the page I am trying to go to does come up. It happens a lot on myspace.

If the page you need comes up don't worry about it :-)

Probably used for navigation (left hand side) or advertisements (top or right hand side) and is looking in the wrong place or the link wasn't generated correctly. Try just refreshing the page if you really want to see it.

Myspace is very very buggy. Anytime it happens in myspace just be thankful the main page loaded and ignore the error :-)

usually if you will encounter page cannot be displayed and you are sure that you do have internet connection, it could be that there is a firewall or security software that is blocking you to access certain websites.

it could also be, that the website that you are trying to accessed is cached on your computer and it has expired so that is why when you try to refresh the page it will display the page right away.

another thing is, if your connection is not stable like the signal keeps dropping off.

Maybe you have a pop up blocker or spyware/adware program that is blocking the advertising portion of the page that you are pulling up. I notice the same problem, but I'm no where near a computer guy...so that has always been my best guess.

Try getting the latest update for your browser and OS, but it sounds like you might have a spyware/adware issue. I suggest you visit download.com and install a copy of Spybot Search and Destroy as well as Adaware Personal SE, using both of these tools in conjunction with each other has been very effective for me in removing unwanted adware and spyware..

it is pro0bably becouse broken links, or your internet speed might be too slow and the loading of a frame, or flash object times out. If you refresh the bage it should disapear, if not, then you can be almost shure, that it is a broken link.
