At the end of "History Of The World Part I," Brooks showed previews for "History Of The World Part II." As we know, there was no sequel to the first one. What I was wondering was whether he had planned to make a sequel, or if these were just thrown in at the end of the first one.

there was never a Part II because the sequence at the end of Part I was just a joke and was never intended to be an actual sequel. the reason that i thought this was that the skits in the Part II coming attraction at the end of Part I never occurred in history (with the obvious exception of the viking funeral), whereas all of the skits in Part I did. hitler was never on ice, and there were never hasidic jews in space, so to me, it was obviously just a joke

Probably just thrown in to throw you off. Remember an old Bill
Cosby dud called "Leonard Part 7" there was never a 1-6. Good
thing, too. Maybe Mel Brooks is still planning on making a Part
2 sometime.
