Cranky is an adjetive because it is DESCRIBING a noun.
Funniest- Adjetive
Fluffiest- Adjective
Lonely- Adjective
Kind- Adjetive
Outside- Noun because it is a place
The first six words are adjectives because they all describe a noun.

adjective as it describes a noun (e.g., the cranky baby). The others you gave on your list are all adjectives except for outside and around.

anything that describesto a noun is an adjective.. anything that describes an action is an adverb.. therefore cranky as in cranky neighbour would be an adjective as it describes the neighbour(noun)
