Do you ever feel like something is stopping you but you don't know what it is? Like everything else seems to be in place and you should just go for it, yet something is stopping you but you don't know what or why or how?

If so, what would you do if you were in that situation?

I know this is a vague question, so I don't expect specific answers, but I would just like some advice. Thank you.

No, this is not a vague question, it is very specific.

Is it possible that somewhere along the way (when you were a kid, perhaps?) someone you trusted made you believe negative stuff about yourself? You're not smart enough. You're just like your father! Why can't you be more like so and so? Girls can't do that . Boys can't do that. etc

Lots of erroneous ideas can be inadvertently put into a child's head and can stay there for a lifetime.

Another thought, what would happen if you would succeed? What changes will occur in your life along with the success?

Basically there is something going on in your head that is "protecting you" from these changes. Can this be possible?

I came accross this question earlier, wanted to answer it, but passed. Then I saw you posted a question in the religion and spirituality section. But it just hit me as soon as I saw your name, "did I asnwer one of her questions earlier?". Then I checked my home page and no. Then I clicked on your profile and realised this was the question I passed on. And the reason I did not answer is beacause of the very notion of your question's authenticity.

But to answer your question now, yes it happens to me all of the time. To my belief we are all born with a natural world that belongs to each and every individual. But there are many influences(mostly that of mankind) that takes you out of your own natural element. I sincerely hope you know what I am talking about. There is a natural world for all of us, but most want to take control of that. But when that gets frustrated by influences that I know and know not, then I am inclined to have short comings. Basically because an influence started it, and I will finish it. Like my passing to answer this querstion the first time around.

EDIT: I just noticed that you want advice for this situation. it all depends on the individual and thier personality. I told you how I handle it, but that is just me and for some odd reason my nature is strong and karma always looks after me. Maybe because I respect her presence that much. You have to come to your own conclusion on how to handle your hesitation to certain situations. Because I learned to live with regrets because I believe the future always holds something better for me. Even into the next life. But you have to learn how to overcome this yourself. Because maybe you were meant to be stopped on that certain issue. Or maybe it was just for you to give thought? Maybe it's just divine intervention? But life makes up for the mistakes bestowed upon her by those who want to influence in a nagative way. Peace! Take care love!

It's God talking to us in that still, small voice we know as our conscience. When I get that feeling not to go forward with my plans and I ignore I always regret it. If I listen to it I usually understand later down the road why it was better for me to wait. God gives us great instinct. I sounds like you are very in tune with yours. God bless!
