5x-6(x+9)<1
5x-6x-54<1 Distribute
-x-54<1 Add like terms
-x<1+54
-x<55
x<-55

The girl on top's is wrong because when she multiplied -6 by 9 she should've got -54 because a positive and a negative equals a negative

ok first distribute so you get

5x-6x+54<1

now combine like terms and get

-x+54<1

now subtract from both sides

-x<-53

now multiply -1 to both sides becasue you cant have a negative variable

you now have

x<53
