the only cover of an elton john song i like better than the origional is "don't go breaking my heart" when he and miss piggy sing it. so basically him covering his own song.
little factiod: when he appeared on the muppet show he did not want to dress flamboyantly - he was changing his style, but the muppets (as usual) got their way.

If I had to chose of course it would be Elton John. I'm not particulary fond of that song.He is a good artist and has many other songs that are terrific compared to that one.
