-3.9004 + 61.41 is answer
Ok, to get it, you simply move the -61.41 to the other side. By the law of Equality, you add 61.41 to the other side. So then you get:
y=58.1096
Since -3.9004 is negative, you subtract 3.9004 from 61.41
61.4100
-3.9004
_______
= 58.1096

You need to get Y alone on one side of the = sign.

You can do anything to one side of an equation as long as you do the same to the other side.

So -- if you add 61.41 to y - 6141 --you get: y

now add 61.41 to the other side of the equation and u have yr answer.

If you mean multiply by (.)
The simple way of solving those kind of calculations are when you take a number to the other side of the equal if it is - then turns to +, or the other way round.
