Dr. Doom.
He just rules. He is the only character in comics that is of literary quality. Especially after the telling of his history in "books of doom" perhaps the best comic limited series ever.
Doom is possibly the most powerfull human in the marvel universe through sheer force of will and intellect. He represents everything that is right with humanity while recognizing that all humans do have some character flaws (his ego is his fatal flaw). No matter all the crap he has had to endure, he still rises to the top. He has ruled the world (created a utopia), saved his mother's soul and proven himself better than reed richards (he saved his wife's life when reed was not smart enough to do it).
I would say Conan, but he is a character that was not created by marvel and began as a character in a written medium where characters generally must be written better and more in depth than they are in comics.

Batman. He is extreamly driven and does not have any real superpowers. even if he wasnt rich im sure he would have come up with somthing.

...Dare Devil... not one super hero comes close to his realistic attitude towards fighting crime... well, maybe the punisher comes close or even surpasses him but... DD is the best for me!!!
