I decided to make a scrapbook for my baby instead of buying a baby memories book. Do you have any ideas about what is in a regular baby book? Like what kind of questions do they ask about before the baby is born and after and what kind of questions do they ask about the parents? like the fill in the blank questions so i can in a way make my own baby book?

I did that for my son. I love scrapbooking and thought it seemed fit. Here are the pages I included:

1. Maternity Pictures--and brief story about my pregnancy with him.
2. Ultra sound pictures--and a brief story about what we did when we found out he was a boy.
3. Picture family tree--this includes my side and his dad's side one two pages.
4. Birthday Pictures--when he was born pictures, hospital bands, stories about who was there and just funny things that happened.
5. Birth Announcement and copy of Birth Certificate
6. ALL the firsts.
------First Easter
------First Christmas
------First Halloween
------First Thanksgiving
------First Fourth of July
------First Tooth
------First Bath
------First Birthday
I think you get the point.
7. Baptism.

I pretty much told the story of his first year. I told funny stories about things he did. Used pictures to explain his favorite stories, songs, noises, and toys. I used my favorite pictures to outline everything. It turned out great.

Best of Luck and Congratulations!

Wonderful Idea. I'm did the same thing. Put birth time, weight all that stuff of course. then you can go on to do who 1st held me and show pics of the baby and that person. OR dad and mom's first thoughts and show all the pics of yall with the baby. Also ya can do a page of people who love you baby. And put all the pics of people who visits at the hospital. Even do the people and the gifts and write around the gifts so and so gave u this. Anyway good luck its fun. You can buy cheap scrapbook stuff at the dollar store. Also a must have is a container of the cutie siccorss to cute borders and make ya own frames or whatever else. they even have a bunch of hole puncher things like baby hands and rattles and stuff. GOOD LUCK

It really sounds like a fun idea and it would be one of a kind for your baby. Well write whatever you feel like writing and want your child to read afterwards. Some of the points are
1. Write about your feeling when you first knew you were expecting and your partner's feelings
2. Write about grandparents and family.
3. Your due date
4. The day you got to know you were expecting
5. How did you and your partner meet
6. Put pictures of you pregnant
7. Some names you are considering for the baby
8.What craving you are having
9. How much weight have you put on?
10. When did you feel the baby move

These are just some pointers. But i think you should mostly go with your feeling and write whatever you feel like. Good Luck and Congratulations!!!!!

get subscriptions to baby magz and cut out stuff from those, or finds someone old ones.

I bought a baby book and then recovered some of the pages with paper and velium. I cut samples of his nursery colors, the duster, blanket, sheet and saved those and mounted them in the book too.

well, u prolly should put its birth surtifakit in it and some pics of it and you should make it a scrap book every 1-4 years so not only u have somthing to look back on and see all the wonderful times you and your child had together but your child will see how much u loved and still love him/her. and that memory will follow them thier whole life.

You might ask things like: how was the birth, first words, first steps, what is their favorite food, that kind of thing. Just write stuff that you want to remember. List the names of the parents, too.
