I've been pushed around by so many different phone services and I always just feel like they are trying to screw me over. Does anyone know of any great services that actually CARE about their customers??? I've thought about doing prepaid too, but I feel like there's gotta be some kinda catch in that too.. any advise???

I do agree that all cell phone companies seem like they are out to get you. Nickel and dimeing us with fees for everything. You just have to stand your ground and don't be let push you around. don't be afraid to ask for compensations for the bad service. I have gotten a free month and fees taken off. My recomendation would be cingular. There plans are a little more expensive but thats because they have nation wide. You don't have to worry about roaming, if you decide to go on a trip at the last minute. They have role over minutes, so if you don't use them there not wasted. You can change you plan all you want and it won't extend your contract unlike sprint or other carriers. You can buy unlocked phones at anytime from different places. Because some of the phones that the carriers offer are lame. you can get better phones outside of the ones they offer. Sprint, nextel US cellular, you have to use there phones. You can't buy anywhere else.

Loyaltys and treatment of Customers by phone companys:
T-mobile
Verizon
Spring/Nextel
Cingular

Call T-mobile Customer Care (1-800-937-8997) and talk to them, and tell them your concerns about loyalty. Customer care is always open, and always helps.
You might be interasted in this: Cingular has a computerized system that states how important their customers are when they call, and depending on how important the customer is, they treat you acordingly. While it is a fair buisness move, as a customer that is not making them a lot of money, you might not tottaly valued.
Here is something I recantly posted along the same lines of your question:

While Verizon has a monopoly, along with Cingular, on Wireless advertising, there are overall 4 carriers worth looking at.
Pros/Cons of each:
Verizon: Good coverage, probably the best, fair cell phones, expensive plans, so-so Customer Service, and I have heard many horror storys about Verizon, I have also had bad experiances my self.
Verizon does not have a Family plan under $69.99 a month, so I would not advise them
Cingular: Fair coverage in a lot of places, but often get 1-2 bars and a lot of dropped calls. (While Cingular claims to have the least dropped calls, no study has been realeased, and their "leading research company" has never been identified, so there are many doubts weather this is true) They have some of the worst Customer care in the buisness, but they have a large coverage area, and somewhat competitive prices. Personaly, I would not advice them, but you can pick what you want.
They offer 550 Min a month for $59.99 a month
Sprint/Nextel: Their coverage is less then what should be expected from the 3rd largest nationwide carrier. They offer medium priced phone and somewhat fair plans, but I would not advise them.
Sprint/Nextel (one company) offers 550 Min for $59.99 a month
T-mobile: While their coverage isen't as good as Verizon, and isen't as wide spread as Cingular, T-mobile has some of the best coverage in the game. They have many roaming agreements with Cingular, meaning they can use Cingular's network when they don't have a tower near somehwere.
Put your adress in: www.t-mobile.com/coverage
If you get good service at your house/work, I would go with T-mobile. They have the best Customer Care in the buisness that will work with you as much as they can to help you out. They are only the 4th biggest wireless company in the US, and have 1/2 the customer base that Cingular/At&T has, but they are owned by European Deutsche Telekom, meaning that their funding is coming from a large company. Overall, I have had the best experiance with T-mobile, and that is who I have been using for years. They offer cheap phones, and recantly came out with MyFaves
For $59.99 you get 700 Minutes a month (150 more then the other companys) plus you get unlimited night calling (starting at 9pm) and weekened calling (friday at 9 to monday at 6am)
The nights and weekends are also offered by Cingular, Sprint, and Verizon
If you spend $69.99 a month, T-mobile offers a plan called Myfaves. Every line can put in 5 numbers to a special program on their phone, and they can call those numbers, unlimited, for free. You can change it once per calander month (once in Jan, once in Feb, etc...) it is a very nice slick plan. I hope I helped. If you want to know more, you can e-mail me at nwahsnwahs018@yahoo.com

I have used cingular, vorizon, all tel, nextel, for me personally, verizion was the best hands down as far as customer service.
pre pay or contract, that is a decision you will have to weigh out for yourself. do you want to be in a contract. Now more companies are offering better deals with pre pay phones such as free nights after 9pm and free weekends that does not deduct from your minutes. That is a great deal if you are not going to use the phone a great deal during the day. You have to weigh it all out, and consider what is best for your needs. good luck and God bless

I say go with Cingular. I just signed up with them and they're great. My granddad has been with them for quite a while and he never really complained about them. Just know this, think hard about whether you wanna go with a prepaid or regular plan. A prepaid plan may cost you more, but ONLY if you talk alot. If so, then go with a contract.

I easily have not had any problems with AT&T especially, despite if it develop right into a sprint extraordinary in the time of the changeover... i develop into with PrimeCo while AT&T bought them out and had undesirable client provider then, so I switched to Cingular, then needless to say AT&T bought them too. while that settlement develop into up, i attempted a pay as you bypass plan with Virgin cellular, despite if it did no longer artwork for me, so I got here crawling back to AT&T.... long tale, despite if it shall we you already know how many circumstances i've got had to call AT&T client provider, and that they have got continually been effectual and not too impolite or something. i've got no longer had somewhat stellar client provider from everywhere in an prolonged time.
