I would take French. It's what you've been learning and I think it's a good thing to stick with what you know. I know you might not like your teacher, but you have to try and put up with her. And, the class can't be as bad as the teacher says it is because otherwise, she wouldn't teach it. I know you might want to move with your friends, but I don't think it's worth switching from a class that you might regret later. But, if you decide that you would rather take the Spanish class, maybe you could keep up with your skills and take private classes or try to learn online, with a book, or listening to a tape. It's nice to know more than one language, and Spanish can be helpful with living in America. So, whatever you decide, I'm sure it'll be a good choice.

With the way that the population of the US is going.....Spanish is a good idea. You will be more likely to use Spanish than French.

That looks good if you're willing to do the work. It's going to be a lot of work, but if you have enough self-discipline to do it, it can help your college plans. Self-discipline means doing ALL your homework daily without nagging from Mom. If you have questions, you ask someone, don't just turn it in partly done, and you keep working until you understand it. It also means practicing for band and chorus and getting to bed early enough that you are getting the sleep you need. With this schedule, you won't be able to do many other activities, but if you already know what you want to do, go for it! The music actually might help. I'm a Sweet Adeline (women's barbershop chorus) and my husband encourages me to stay with it because I'm a lot easier to live with when I get to sing!

I would stick with the French class, at least you know something already and you won't be totally lost if you choose the Spanish class.

Spanish is a better choice if you are in America unless if you plan to go to France quite often. Spanish is also really easy to learn

Forget them both - French is only good in France - Cananadian French isn't anywhere near French. But Spanish is a universally accepted language, and you can easily learn Italian, Portugese, and any romance language if you learn Spanish. I would forget them both and go for Japanese.
