I was wondering who has older horses, as in 35 years or older. I have a horse named Blaze who is spoiled rotten and he is very well cared for. I just wanted to ask if anyone else had horses like him.

We have a 44yr old Quarter horse named Ty at the barn that I work at. Ty was a excellent barrel horse before he started being used in our lesson program. We retired Ty about 2 yrs ago from lessons even though he really misses the children; he comes and stares at the other horses when they tack them up. We let Ty have the run of our ranch; he can go anywhere he pleases. When people see him they don't ever believe us when we tell them how old he is.

Yes, we had a 35 year old mare named Oreo. She was spoiled rotten too, but the kids still rode her when they could catch her. She was having trouble with her hooves splitting so we let her go to a family with very small children. She lives just down the road from us. We keep a paint mare now who is also spoiled and well loved. Our horse is like our big ol' hay eating dog, she even comes when she's called. Her name is Cloud.

i have a horse named blaze also. i dont know how old he is. i know this really doesn't answer your question but i do have an 11 or 12 year old horse named daisy. she is the oldest we have.

At my barn is a 36y.o. German Warmblood - 4th level dressage trained & very spoiled. I love to ride him because he makes me do everything right!
