As much as I can complain about how things are run in America, I am glad to be able to do so. There are few countries where I would have the freedom to state my mind. Living in France, Spain or Britain is very expensive I've heard and I only have a laborers skill level. Australia is tempting, but has the most poisonous snakes and spiders and no indigenous otters. As I travel around the United States I find the place I live to be the best, most comfortable and most affordable. Go figure!

Yes, I have thought about it. I did live in Germany for 4 years. I did like it but I prefer the US. For many reasons. The first reason is my family is here. There are a lot of things I can't stand about our country but there are many more things I LOVE about it. I still have hope that things will get better. If we could get some accountability from our leaders things will improve. Many Democrats want what I want, strong empathy for all humanity: home and abroad, universal Health Care, fair wages, tolerance to people that are different, good education, equal opportunities for all classes and PEACE. So no I won't be moving. The majority of Americans strongly want these things too. Ask me in a decade or so, if things keep going downhill it may cross my mind.

In my personal opinion, while I am disgusted at where we are as a whole, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Everywhere you go there will be bad, evil, death, unhappy people. It is IMPOSSIBLE to please everyone. You have to weigh the pros and cons. To me, I know what I THINK we stand for and as long as I hold strong by that, nothing that happens can change that. Keep in mind that while we are a nation, ultimately there is one person or a few people who make that final decision. They are the only ones that should be held accountable for what is happening. That is why so many people are increasingly loosing their desire to vote. Those who control the vote DO NOT speak for everyone but unfortunately they are the only ones heard. My pride comes from those who show us everyday that there are people out there who are not selfish. I was not directly affected by 9-11 but when I finally understood the huge loss I felt my heart break. Our Pride as a nation isn't in the words, it isn't in the bad things we do or that happen to us, it can't be bought or broken. It runs through each and every one of our blood. I heard a great saying in a movie (yes its crazy but TRUE)...."the reason we fall is so that we may learn to pick ourselves up"

I've been to Australia three times for business trips and love it there. If I were to live anywhere but the USA, it would be the lovely land Down Under. Why aren't I there now then, you ask? Because my job, family, and friends are here. It is such a hideously long plane ride to get there and back and so expensive to make that trip. But if I could pick up all my family and take them with me and keep my job, I would seriously consider moving there.

Ive considered it.
What holds me back is a few things - for one, I wouldnt be employed by the State Govt. any longer.... For another, most other countries do not allow you to move there and work for the rest of your life. And, most foreign countries hate americans anyways. Plus, regardless of pisspoor our President is, this is still the best place to live on earth.
Where else in the WORLD can you go surfing AND snowskiing in less that 4 hours?

I like to visit other countries often and have a great deal of appreciation for other countries and their organization. Nothing is that black and white. There is good and bad in other places too. I think people stay where they are for the most part because they have friends and family that they feel close to and want to stay connected. Plus they are set in their careers and have ties that keep them from relocating. I feel it is good to have a base in the U.S. and then spend as much time as possible abroad exploring the other countries.

I may at times be dissatisfied with the direction this country seems to be taken but I have never thought about leaving it. I like the freedoms we take so much for granted and the diversity of the people within our country.

Sure, I have thought about moving to another country, but I don't have enough money, because currently I am in school.
I love America and everything it represents. I resent the fact that as a country we are so depended on by other countries, but when we do something about it we are ridiculed.
I guess it's your damned if you do and your damned if you dont.

I would like to live in Spain. Although it is a spanish sopeaking country, AND I don't know how to speak spanish, i would enjoy living in a country with such culture. I would love to tour museums, and live like a tourist when I live there. I feel it has such a strong culture that I would love to learn and be a part of it.

While foreigners can come to this country and get jobs, many countries do not offer the same privileges.
You have to be very specialized in a field in need to work in other countries. Usually they are highly technical fields which is not my background.
