When addressing more than one Answerer? Or only used for talking to Answerers in the South?

The term in Y'All, not Y!All. It's a southern term, but in all other languages (other than English) there's a pronoun for saying you in the plural. English lacks the word, so southerners made one up. It's really no big deal.

I'm from the South, and we say Ya'll all the time. It just rolls off the tongue. It sounds better than you guys or any of the other options, probably because it's more what I'm used to when referring to a group.

A yawl is what I think yous'm referrin to. It's a clinker built boat. Do Southerners suffer particularly from clinkers?
