It's hard to choose a favorite from so much genius but if I had to choose it would be "King Lear".

What are you arguing between?
I would say I like the comedies best: Midsummer Night's Dream is whacky and whimsical, while Much Ado About Nothing and The Taming of the Shrew are always fun reads.

"The Taming of the Shrew"
But only if it is performed with the entire "play-within-a-play" motif. My girlfriend played Kate a couple years ago and the director cut the opening scene in which the drunkard is made to believe that he is a nobleman. Sort of undermined the entire irony of the rest of the story.

Othello and Hamlet are both awesome, while Macbeth, Much Ado, Romeo, Julius Caeser, and Henry V are all awesome, too.

Much Ado About Nothing
It's just so darn funny! I love how they trick Beatrice and Benedick into falling in love. Classic!

I'd say all. But since there're only two of which I could still remember details (years after reading them), I guess they're my time-tested favourites: "Taming of the Shrew,", and "Timon of Athens".

It's an impossible question to answer. There are about a dozen that I love with equal vigor.
Generally, when I'm asked this question, I respond with: "Whichever one I read most recently."

Othello for sure. It is such a good example of how destructive jealousy can be.
