taking a stick and using it to poke into an ants or termites nest to collect bugs to eat. Thus the first tool.

obviously, we do not know. we do not even know who, what, where, why, how, & when the first people were around on earth. (as a fact, that is) by the way, the wheel was definately not first on their list of inventions. you have to realize, they probably invented a whole lot more than what you are thinking because in the beginning, there wasn't anything. they had to start somewhere, and it was probably something to do with food.

by the way, everyone who said adam & eve covered themselves up, so the fig leaf undies were the first inventions... WRONG. adam was created first, according to the Bible, and he did not realize he was naked until Eve was created some time later. so, Adam probably invented something else first.
