This is the American site - Yahoo is an American company - people use our products, watch our movies, and then for some reason feel free to bash us for our culture, customs, spelling, and anything else they want to complain about. I do not complain about other people, their countries, and their customs, and yet I read a lot of it about Americans. If it is that much of an issue for you, use your own Yahoo. Wait - you can't. It's American, made available for your worldwide use. You're welcome!

I'm surprised that I've only gotten one thumbs down in the past hour - usually Americans posting in defense of themselves receive a lot more in just the first 10 minutes alone.

Most of your questions seem to have a maximum of two or three words in them, and are mostly fragments. You obviously have excellent time management skills, seeing as as how you are not wasting any on extra words. Perhaps I can learn a thing or two from you - how do you do it? Maybe I was taking the 'Answers' part too literally... ;-)

I think the way Yahoo has set this up means that Americans view all English language questions. That means they end up answering a lot of questions aimed at UK participants, but still, at least we get to hear different points of view.

Hey. I didn't go looking for this question. I'm not in the UK section, I'm on the same site I've always been on. Take a valium or something.

".....they can't spell...."

Read your question again out loud, following each letter of every word. Barring the words "Americans again?", count 9 words along. I do believe the English spelling of the word I THINK you are looking for is "their".

Also, its called the "WORLD-WIDE web" and not the "Great British Web" for a reason.

To be petty, I could also point out that the Yahoo! corporation is an American company. Typically of you Brits; you all have to police the world with your silly "co.uk" domain protocol, your "War on Iraq", your ignorance, your lack of irony, your jingoism......

I think it is a good idea that we all help each other and get to know our cultures. I like meeting people from different countries.
