How can sports increase sportsmaship?

Can i get an example of how like in a sport?

By lowering the salaries, lessening the hype the superstars get, by making the game more inportant than the $$$. It's not going to happen, but it would work.

They could increase fines for plays that are against the rules and result in someone getting injured. The have some of these in American football already.
