So in the mornings when I've straightened my hair and done my make up, I've often wondered what would happen if I sprayed my face with hairspray(obviously keep my eyes and mouth firmly shut!!) Would it make my makeup last longer? Or is this just some wacky idea ..the type only Im likely to come up with? Your thought please :]

Don't do it. Hairspray would clog your pores in a HUGE way, and it was never meant for use on delicate facial skin. You know those little clogged pores you get around your hairline? Hairspray is part of the problem there; just imagine that all over your face.

A better way to "set" your makeup is to brush lightly in swirling motions with facial powder (Coty's Airspun is a great one), then mist your face with a little water (any plant mister bottle should do okay as long as you can get a very fine mist from it). Let it dry and you're good to go.

hairspray can cause ance on ur face since ur face also sweats during the day. it does sound like a good idea but i wouldn't try it, but if u do want something that can help ur makeup last longer there is an mac product that my mom used for a wedding (the wedding was from 2pm to 12am) and by the end on the night her makeup still looked fresh and like she had just put it on.

it sounds like a good idea, but the hairspray will cause irratation to ur skin, causing acne, or other irratation, so i wouldn't try it

Powder is the best thing you can use to "lock-in" your make-up, as well as a good skin-care regimine.

eh...it might cause an allergic reaction, even if it didn't to the skin on your scalp.i'd be very careful.just very lightly, from very far away (arms length at least).
