i dont have a volt, or battery light come on.

it could be. you mean they grow dim/flicker when you slow the engine speed? go to any shop that has a midtronics battery tester and they would probably test it for free.

what year, make, model, car do you have?

Most likely it's either the battery or the voltage regulator.

Probably the first answer but eliminate a loose connection also

CHECK ALL GROUNDS. IF IT IS AN OLDER CAR WITH DIMMER SWITCH ON FLOOR, CHECK FOR RUST UNDERNEATH. SOME GROUNDS MAY BE SMALL WIRES OR CORRODED.

yes it is i had the same problem it is the altenator
