I had a level two ultrasound at 16 weeks and I was told it's not accurate until 18 weeks so they wouldn't even look. My pregnancy book says you can find out at 16 weeks but if I were you I wouldn't risk it and schedule an ultrasound before 18 weeks. Better to wait those two extra weeks and know for sure that get an answer that isn't accurate.

Usually they can check when they do the 20 week unltrsound. I am not sure of when they can actually tell, but most doctors will give you the option at 20 weeks. The earlier ultrasound done during the first trimester is too soon I know. Good Luck!

you can find out earlier then 20 weeks however most doctor do not do a ultrasound till 20 to 24 weeks that's the time when most people find out there is a % of women who can't find out due to that baby's position so don't get your hopes up too high you'll find out 4 sure. We could not find out with my 2ed she was never turned right to tell.

I find out on the 20th, I will be 23 weeks pregnant then. I think you can see earlier though, like maybe from the 18th week?

I didn't find out mine until 20weeks. They say there has to be enough fluid in the uterus for the fetus to be floating around in it, but the fetus can't be too large, so it's better to do it before 30weeks.
