why do you think he is a good president?

I think despite all the liberal rhetoric, Bush has done what he felt was right based on intelligence he was given, and motivated by a desire to institute peace by spreading democracy and civil rights to all!

If you believe in civil rights and democracy, how can you fault a president for feeling others deserve the same?

I personally believe that in 50 - 100 years from now, he'll be heralded as one of our great leaders.

He's Decisive, Moral, Faithful, Honorable, Stoic.
Many see Him as closed minded and stuborn. I see a man who hears ideas then makes a decision and is not swayed by fickle public opinion.
The man says he rarely even reads a newspaper or watches the news, I believe this to be true by His actions.
In this day and age we need someone like that. No, I don't tow the line on every issue with Him. I think He has a conflict of interest on immigration. Maybe He dealt to much with immigrants while Governing in Texas and just can't bring Himself to be tough enough on that one issue.
There's no doubting His tough stand on defending this Country from terrorists though, and we'd be stupid to loose that resolve.

He started out a little weak, but propelled by circumstances, he has grown into a leader with conviction, principle, and a true sense of right and wrong. His biggest flaw is the way he projects himself on TV. His biggest asset is his ability to stand up and take heaps of criticism while maintaining his firm focus on what needs to be done.

He is the most ridiculed president in my lifetime, but I believe that history will show that he has been a great leader and done the right things. Much of the criticism is way off base. They don't give Harvard diplomas to idiots.

Gets the big picture, but doesn't get the details right. Given the choice again I'd vote for him again. But that isn't saying much given he was running against the "best" the democrats could muster, Al Gore and John Kerry. I've said it before, if the democrats can get back to the center, then they may be able to get votes back, including mine.

Why don't people know Bush gave the Taliban $43 million in May of 2001?
Or the fact he authorized to give, and gave North Korea $95 million in 2002?
This is not a conspiracy, it actually happened. Welcome to reality!

He knows that speaking softly (diplomacy) without a big stick is futile. His use of the big stick makes speaking softly more effective. Example: Libya, who is rejoining the international community.

There will be a little pause as they have to consult Rush Limbaughs achives to see why they think he is a good president. None of them can think of any thing on their own.
