I'm not trying to say it was terrorism, no no no no not at all but i was just wondering. I mean when it was 9/11 2 planes crashed into NY, and now when 10/11 (yesterday) came upon this world, a plane crashed into NY... again.

You think theirs going to be a 11/11? 12/11? Jusr cerious so no harsh answers please.

Absolutely not!!

9/11 is a significant date because of the supposed link to 9-1-1

the 11th date is just coincidential, and what happened to Corey Lidle was very tragic- he left behind a wiife and 6 year old son.

Im a REAL fan and I was devastated that the Yanks were eliminated so fast and didnt make it-- when it rains it pours-- then this happened.

Cory Lidle was a beginning pilot flying a high performance plane. Like a 16 year old driving a Ferreri. It was a tragic accident. I loved that guy when he was on the A's. 32 straight scoreless innings was awesome. Rest in Peace Cory... GO A'S!!!!

When I first saw Cory Lidle's death on the news that is exactly what I thought. I think it might be a new phase starting. Scary thought... but now-a-days anything is possible.

come on! he was flying home to see his family!
and besides, connecting it to 9/11, its not like he knocked down two skyscrapers! it was an accident!

And a little message to those who think it was a suicide, or think that A-rod should have been on the plane: GET A LIFE! GET A HEART!

No connection. However, I heard a report that Alex Rodriguez had a "secret" friend in that building. Since Brian Cashman said they weren't going to trade A-Rod, Corey Lidle was attempting to murder him while he and his friend were "doing it". Yankees suck. Sorry for Lidle's death. Go Cards!

no, there was no connection.... and I'm so sick of the story... it was covered for like 5 hours yesterday!

... funny how people aren't looking into the connect between the yankees losing in a cory lidle going smash into a building...

if you want to talk about "coincidence"

lol, did you watch South Park yesterday, they made a joke in that nature. The school was trying to find out who crapped in a urinal in the boys bathroom, Cartman somehow made a connection between that and 9-11, and made Kyle responsible for everything!!!
What i mean is, this is nothing but pure coincidence

No.
If you think about it, there are 12 '11's each year. We passed 61 '11's to reach this one. It was not long after his team's loss to Detroit, so it makes sense. Had the Yanks won, he may not have died.

"no harsh answers please."

Please just delete this question. On the surface, you appear to be trivializing the thousands of deaths on 9/11.

No, Because he was flying his own plane I doubt one of the best yankee's pitcher who makes over 1million $ a year would be a terrorist. Don't u think that
