The ALDS & NLDS (American & National League Divisional Series) are the best out of 5, or first to 3 wins. The ALCS/NLCS and the World Series are best out of 7 or first to 4 wins.
Both the ALCS/NLCS and the WS are set up as two home (or road) games, then 3 on the road, and two back at home for the original home team.
