If you paid with Paypal, you could claim the full amount from them and they will deal with the dispute on your behalf.

I agree with Tucksie...cut your losses. You're lucky to have been offered a refund for the dress & the seller probably wont refund the shipping charges (they dont usually). Also Ebay wont & cant make the seller refund postage charges.
Just put it down to a bad experience & learn from it.

Say you want the dress as ordered in Red and Ivory and refuse to pay the extra shipping. You may have to foot this to return the dress to him anyway. You can give him negative feedback on Ebay but it won't stop him from trading.

never usually answer seriously but ive just done this in my a-levels... that is against The sale and supply of Goods act.. goods must be -as described,-fit for purpose and -of a satisfactory quality. now you can try negotiating with the seller but if you are really not happy you could go to the small claims court, however this would be of a charge so i reccommend trying to reason with the seller..jus say you are entitled to a full refund! just see what they say! good luck btw and congrats on the wedding!

Good luck getting anything back at all. Once you ship the dress to him he has the dress AND your money. That's just another good reason not to buy important, expensive things on ebay, and certainly not from a foreign seller.

Raise a dispute and you'll get your money back (eventually). Do not deal direct with customer. Don't know how many transactions this customer has, but if he's ebay shop then he'll not want to jeapordise his good rating by one transaction. I raised dispute while back and got full refund (including postage). Good luck.

The full refund but you will probably not get it . your lucky you got anything from eBay,so many people have been complaining that they don't receive what they order or it is not the exact thing such as your dress.

Just accept the dress price back 'cause hey, if you're not happy with it, what can the refund ensure? Not much, is what I'm thinking.

Cut your losses and get your money back. That's the trouble with ordering off eBay. What on earth made you order such a dress from China knowing you can't preview it or try it on.
