Having my hair combed (and trimmed) is a great stress-buster for me. I love someone gently fussing over the whole thing and taking an eternity. It gives me goose pimples and sends me into a trance. Am I unique? Can I have this done as a therapy, or do I have to make the most of my hairdresser? (P.S. I'm a regular bloke).

I think there are millions of people who enjoy this past time, and I am one of them.
As for therapy, you could try indian head massage, that is real good but doesn't really make the most of the hair.
My advice, get a girlfriend who is a trainee hairdresser, OR find someone who likes to fuss...
good luck.

YES!!!.......
I have very long hair and love to have it combed and gentle dried with cool air......
and for extra Ecstasy walking by the sea on a windy day, walk face to the wind....and let the sea breeze cares your hair as you walk by......
(then again...the above may just be a girlie thing to do)

I so agree with you! And you should try an Indian head massage. It's divine!! Or just get your shoulders and scalp massaged by a therapist. I spend my days caring for other people and to get my hair done is my way of pampering my self.

My mate spent ages combing his hair, then forgot to bring it with him when we went for a drink!

I guess it's only enjoyable to some - my hubby loves to have his head massaged when he has a headache - it puts him right to sleep, but I don't care to have anyone put their hands on my head or hair.
