The Trammps. The long version is on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, and it is worth buying the album for this track alone!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paula Backus I was there as a camper from the summer of 65 to about 72 and as a CILT in 76 and a counselor in 78 and 79. El Rancho Navarro was probably the most important experience of my childhood. Sometimes I feel as if I survived the rest of the year just to get to camp. Irv was like a 2nd father to me. One of my counselors (Anne Mareck!) and I dreamed of taking over El Rancho Navarro when Irv and Edna no longer wanted to run it... Now I'm 42 and my 9 year old daughter went to summer camp for the first time last year and I wished I had gone, too... I'm really sorry I missed the reunion and I wouldn't have missed it for (almost) anything but August 21st was the day my partner and I had chosen for our commitment ceremony, so I was surrounded by my whole family and all our friends... I would love to find (who would I love to find?!?) Carol Peterson, Rachel Katz, and Leslie Anixter... among others...
