And they've gone to a 3rd world country to do so. Their heart is in the right place. But why do they have to leave home to do a good deed? Why can't they use their star power and money to offer to those in need right here at home? What's wrong with drawing attention to the plight of our homeless, our poor, our hungry, our dying and sick. Last time I checked we have orphanages filled with abandoned kids, shelters filled with families who have no homes, & hospitals filled with babies who are sick & have no one to love them. I guess I missed the news that New Orleans has been rebuilt, families were no longer displaced all was right again.

We here, in the US, pay to see their movies, buy their music, purchase their books, buy their merchadise, all of which has made them millions.

Congrats Madonna, Angelina, Brad, Sharon, Meg, etc, you've given these childen a new beginning. But aren't their just a many children that could use a new beginning of their own...does anyone else agree?

I'm not so sure they are doing anyone a favor. I find it hard to believe that these celebrities can really be good parents. With their schedules and busy lives spent under a microscope in the spotlight, there's a good chance those kids will end up a tad bit warped. It's a good thing they have rich parents to pay for their therapy. But you are right, if they are going to adopt for the sake of adopting (not publicity), why not help out the orphaned children of their own country?

First of all, Madonna's representatives said it wasn't true. It's just a rumor that she did. Yes Brad and Angelina have adopted two children from Africa. Meg adopted one from China I believe. I don't really agree. Yes children can be adopted here or abroad. But it's their preference if they wanted to go that road or not. As for Madonna, it's reportedly to be a rumor.

Okay. Now it's true that Madonna adopted a boy from Malawi, since the boy''s father couldn't afford to raise him. The waiting period was waived for her. I think that it's nice.

The answer is because they hate the country that made them so famous. By turning to a 3rd world baby they think they are a better person. The fact is they are losers because they don't want to spend 9 months with a fat belly. They are selfish, narcissistic and egotistical. "Look at me, look at me. I’m so much better than the rest of you. By the way my new movies/album/crap is coming out. Get your money ready to spend it on me." The never of these fakers! Changing partners like changing channels. When they break up (Again!) who will get the 3rd world baby? And then the court battle will keep them in the news so they can say once again l"ook at me, look at me." They all suck 3rd world azz!

Yes, I agree. I also think that the reason that they don't adopt in this country is due to the privacy. Once anything is filed here in the US the press always finds out about it. Even when they are just starting the adoption process.

These celebs need to have some privacy. How would you like your life (every intimate detail) published out there for the whole world to see. They are people just like us.

Ive just got one problem with all the 'adoptions' that have been going on- why are children with living relatives being adopted? surely it's better to leave that child with his/her parent/s or indeed next of kin and then pledge monies for their upbringing? think of the wretched feelings those families will be left with? would it not be one of great inadequacy?guilt? and maybe hopelessness?Does it not make more sense to adopt an orphan with no next of kin? or am i missing something; which seems to me like a flexing of wealth and power and possibly cheap publicity!!!

America has standards for adoptive parents. They require a background check that most celebs would never pass. Other countries aren't as strict.

they totally go for kids from other countries cause "they are so cute" I say that's crap. So Ethiopian kids are better to have and raise cause they are cute then the kids here in America. I agree with you. It's crap.
