Got an 80's party to go to, anyone got an cheap/free, and original ideas of what to wear??? i'm stumped either for a bloke or for a couple, TY.

How about a pair of aviator sunglasses, jeans, t-shirt & padded jacket like Tom Cruise in Top Gun
or
Jeans, T-shirt, toy guitar & designer stubble (either drawn on or real) - like George Michael in late 80's (thin Faith video)
or
The Yuppie look (ie Miami Vice)
or
The New Romantic look - like Duran Duran (think black trousers, frilly shirts & lots of make up - & that was just the men!)

Just look in the shops at the moment. It's all a redesign of the 80's. Go has an 80's pop duo. For the fella look at the groups like Spandu Ballet and Duran Duran. Don't forget your eyeliner.

we went to what we thought was an 80s party last year and it turned out to be a hoax. Everyone dressed normal except us Ouch

My family say I am so back dated I did not need to hire as everything in my wardrobe is 80s

I went to an 80's party last year, had the time of my life! Def. a pair of Addias (if you own a pair) or Converse sneakers. Take a pair of jeans that you don't mind "destroying" and put a rip in the knees. Need a handkerchief to wear on your head or on your arm. A jean jacket if you own one. Wear a white t-shirt under it. Can't think of anything else. Have FUN!! The music is gonna be awesome =)

I went to one of these a couple of years ago, I did a 80's Madonna, it was good fun! Sorry though have know ideas that come to mind at the moment, but may come back later with some!

BIG hair. Farrah Fawcett Majors. One of you could be Charlies Angel and the other the Six Million Dollar Man. Or what about Daisy Duke and one of the Dukes of Hazzard guys. Shell suita were big in the 80's too but you probably don't want to go there!!

Go to the Goodwill or Salvation Army. They have tons of 80's clothes for really cheap.

Get one of those sweet nylon running suits with the wide stripe down the side. Get tube socks with three blue rings around the top, and wear them pulled all the way up.
Or get a Michael Jackson style red leather coat with lots of zippers.

Leg warmers and sweat bands are always great 80's gear. Parachute pants were early 90's by the way!

Go for 'new romantic' look;
Boy : Mullet hair, frilly shirt, baggy trousers. - think Adam and the Ants, Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran.
Girl : Rara skirt, frizzy hair, loads of cosume jewellry - think Madonna around the time of Holiday, Material Girl.
