Time doesn't really move. What we usually refer to as time is really entropy. Think of a hole in the ground that is 100 ft deep. We will use the depth of that hole to represent the dimension of time. As we live our life we are continually filling that hole up. That filling up process is called entropy. Notice we are continually filling, not emptying. Although the hole has two distinct directions we are continually moving upward. It's not time but entropy that is biased in one direction only. As one simple example of this, a building can collapse into a pile of bricks. The pile of bricks will never spontaneously arrange itself into a building. This is an example of the hole filling but not emptying.

Well, if time did ever stop, how would we know it did? Unless time stopped for each of us individualy......
But in my opinion, time keeps moving just because thats what it's made to do! If it didn't move forward nothing would happen, it's our 4th dimension that allows us to exist.
