I am SIA Trained Officer but the training did not Mention Handcuffs

training is available from www.fedstraining.co.uk the 1 day course costs £160 and includes equipment, assessment, and insurance for 12 months.

But it should be noted that the SIA is quoted as saying "We don’t endorse the use of handcuffs. People can claim they were used unlawfully and it could lead to accusations of assault.”

You are not allowed to handcuff someone. You do not have the powers of a Police Officer! If you used handcuffs you could be liable for using unlawful force/restraint.

I don't know but you can practice on me (I love handcuffs, well, I only like them I have control on whether I'm in them or not, I've only been arrested once but it really sucked. Actually, I don't think I've been in cuffs since, I guess it was a little traumatizing)

Its part of all certified industry courses. So i guess YOU ARE NOT a legit security officer.
