Drinking plenty of fluids help, but there is more that you should be doing.
Go to the drug store and get some Mucinex. I'm sure you've seen it advertised on tv. It works.
Or you could go cheaper and buy either Robitussin expectorant,or Vicks cough syrup expectorant.
You want to make sure that you don't get anything with a cough suppressant in it. You want to get it out not keep it in.

Alka-Seltzer Cold Plus if you're not allergic to anything is the BEST thing on the market for over-the-counter! It works WONDERS! My colds ALWAYS go to the chest FIRST! This stuff wipes it out within the NEXT day!! But if you can't or don't want to - I'd say - see a doctor before it turns into partial or complete pneumonia! You don't want to play with that!!!

Get some Mucinex (over the counter). It contains guifenisen, which is excellent for breaking up and helping dispel mucous. It comes in several different kinds (the Mucinex), so make sure you get the one that helps the mucous in your head, as well as your chest. I think that one is Mucinex D.

Get divorced. Just kidding. Drink lots of water. Saline nasal spray works well for the nasal drainage. If you get Mucinex, buy the generic as it is much cheaper.

DayQuil by day...NightQuil by night....lil Vicks under the nose...
and chicken soup.

If that doesn't work hold your head over a bowl of steaming salted water with a towel over your head...

If all of the above doesn't clear it up in a few days - do go to the doc - as you probably need an antibiotic.

Try a hot shower, some Mucinex, or Robitussin

Mints are great for clearing your nasal congestion. The stronger the better.

a clogged nose is one thing. having trouble breathing is another. get yourself to a doctor. taking advise from people on here about your health is like asking your dog for stock tips.
