Accordin to a study by the NY Times the top five earing small businesses last year were: Hair Saon, Nail Salon, Landscaping, Cleaning Services, and Child care center. The most opportunity is in doing things no one else wants to do. You may not get rich doing it, but you can make a decent living

Real Estate. You just take a class for a few weeks, take two tests, pass and BAM you have your license and can be hired pretty quickly. Working for independent companies can be better because they get paid on salary (in most cases), instead of based on commission. Real Estate is great for people that are not airheads and like to work with people. Show people a house, write up some paper work, make some phone calls, and get paid.

Go down to the local Salvation Army or Goodwill store and buy a set of clothes. Be sure to get a hat. Wear them to some location with a lot of pedestrian traffic. Have a seat. Put the hat on the ground. Sleep or moan a lot.
