I think the whole Sweet Sixteen concept is ridiculous. I understand its origins in the debutante society of the south and the right of passage of getting a license. But today's youth does not need another reason to be showered with material things. That show on MTV sickens me. Kids should get rewarded for meaningful things like graduating high school or college. Not because they are 16.

Sadly kids R way passed sweet by the time they've reached 16.
Shame that they have 2 grow-up so quickly nowdays.
Oh well, on the other hand, being street-wise B4 U've reached 16 is usually a good idea if U live in London!
