when i was back home, i was visiting a friend at a gated community at night , and i rushed to get through the gate and my left front tire hit a small curb. ever since then , every now and then, when i brake a long distance as i slow down from high speeds , i hear a popping sound from my left front tire area . any ideas?

check the pads, rotor, caliper, springs & shims. single or multiple pops? at the least, id say one of the above components is damaged. sounds like a pad is kicking(moving back & forth in the caliper)

Try taking off that wheel and inspecting your brakes and a-arms. Shake your wheel before you remove to check wheel bearings. Take a screwdriver and prod around your brake pads and rotor to see if anythings loose. Could be just rotor heating up against hub.

probably broke the arm or axle...my best guess is that its not the brakes...
