My house is made of concrete and in the last weeks the roof is beginning to crack pretty hard and in the same spots (3 different places around the house). My question is if this is normal or if I am in danger of having the roof falling. I live in the top part of a duplex, there is absolutely anything on the roof, and we cannot see any cracks.
Any good advice will be welcome.

Although anything that is up might somehow get down, the cracks you hear are actually proof that the roof is strongly connected. Naturally the temperature changes during the day, or cooling at night, and if the parts don't just slide around, you willhear cracking sounds. Heat expands and cooling contracts.

If you are still seriously worried get a building inspector to look at the situation.

Concrete can crack in the tension zone, and I presume that you are looking at the concrete ceiling. If it is not cracked on top, the roof, then that is probably what is happening.

All concrete structures have rebar in the tension zone.

I would not worry as long as the cracks are just hairline cracks.

Could the house be settling? If it were me, I would have someone check into the sounds - better safe than sorry.
