Be accepting and supportive. What else could I do ? It wouldn't change my love for my child.

i have two boys ages 10 and 11 if they told me in the future they was a homosexual it would be a shock but I wouldnt feel any different about them the I did before I knew because they are my kids and parents could except them for who they are not for what they turn out to be

I would ask them why they feel this way and listen.....listen...listen.

Assuming that the child is a teen, the questioning of one's identity is quite common. I would work through it with them.

In the end, homosexuality is not a behavior that I would consider acceptable. If they choose this regardless, my love for them would not change. However, I would hold them accountable for their behavior and tell them the truth.

for those people who say they are homosexual, they are not really homosexual. They are just not finding and or getting enough emotional love from the parents and or other family members and friends. But love them unconditionally. Don't do anything to make the situation worse.

Love them the same as when I didn't know they were a homosexual? It's my child -- unconditional love is part of the job a parent takes on when they have a child.

A parent should have unconditional love for their children. It wouldn't matter to me one bit. I would still love them. Being homosexual doesn't mean that that person is broken- love is love, no matter between who.

I'd be saddened, as homosexuals face relatively difficult lives compared to heterosexuals, all things being equal.

I would be totally accepting. They had the courage to tell me and I'd reward them for that. I'd also let them know that they had my full support in whatever they do- after all, I'm their mother!

Truly, it wouldn't bother me. People make too much of a big deal about a person's choice of who they love. I would never do that to my daughter's. ~~~

The same way I would react if they told me they were hetrosexual. Why should it make a difference?
