Is it latex paint - if so nail polish remover can get it off.

If not try scraping it with your nail or a creidt card after it is dry - if the floor had a good coating of varnish or wax the paint may just be sitting on top and can flake off.

Hello Lillian. You have the right idea. I would recommend a floor scrubber and a white pad. This should do the trick. When selecting a floor pad for this machine remember that the pads come in various colours. The lighter the colour, the finer the grit. Also remember to be careful when using this machine. If it gets away from you it can do damage to your walls or, worse yet, yourself. If you are not confident enough to use this floor machine, then ask a friend to help you. In the future if you have any more painting to do, cover the floor with an old sheet to prevent dripping paint from hitting the floor.

Use a product called Goof Off--you can buy it at Lowes or Home Depot. It will remove latex paint off of anything. Oil based paint? You may have a problem.
You may end up having to rent a sander to buff out the entire floor and then revarnish it. A pain in the A**. But it can be fixed.

What kind of paint? If it's latex, then a Scotchbrite-type damp sponge should do the trick. For larger drips, you should be able to use a fingernail or plastic scraper to lift up one edge and peel it up. If it's an oil-based paint, you'll probably need a solvent, but then you run the risk of damaging the finish on the floors.

Sometimes... I say Sometimes.. you can just use your fingernail to get under the paint drops.. particularly IF the paint drops are on a varnish floor.. IF not.. you may have to use a razor blade holder.... at a 45 degree angle and get it off.. when it does come off(if it is on a varnished floor), there Will be a white residue left.. Use linseed oil or gasoline moistened on a cloth.. I know. one should not use gasoline but I do so that is that

If it's Latex paint, you can get it up with hot soapy water. Latex paint is water based paint. If it's enamel paint....You can go to any hardware store and pick up "Goof Off" or Oops! They are made specifically for removing paint drips, glue drips....tons of other things. Hope this helps!
