Will I ever go into labor? I am so tired of walking and having sex. I am been so emotional and I know my husband is getting tired. I am just about 40 weeks.

Don't take castor oil! It has been linked to fetal death and a whole mess or serious complications! Anyways, there isn't much you can do. Most doctors will not induce until the see it as needed. Being induced is a harder and more painful labor, so don't be pushing for it, I promise you will regret it! Babies come when they are ready, and remember your due date could possibly be off and trying so hard to get it out NOW might mean it actually comes 2-3 weeks early. Relax, stop having sex and walking. Sit down on the couch or in a warm bath and relax! Have the hunny make some favorite dinner and enjoy it (while it's actually hot, trust me, after a year with the baby, you will appreiciate a hot dinner lol). Everything will happen in it's own time. Good Luck!

My mother started having contractions with me on a Saturday afternoon and didn't give birth until the following Monday afternoon. She didn't go to the hospital until an hour before I was born.

A few hours before I was born, my grandmother called the hospital to see if there was anything to speed it up, because the contractions were still pretty far apart, and the nurse she talked to told her to have my mother take a warm shower.

My mother took the shower and labor increased so quickly they had to speed to the hospital and didn't even get her into the delivery room before I was born - no drugs or anything.

You could try that, I suppose.

If you haven't gone into active labor before I answer this question, I would be surprised. LOL Hang in there....Keep walking, this really does speed things up. If this is your first, don't expect it to happen quickly. Most hospitals won't admit you until you a 4cm dilated. Don't do like I did and run to the hospital every hour just to have them send you home....this will only depress you. Good luck and congrats.

Try squats. stand facing the back of a chair, holding onto the back, slowly squat as far as you can go with out hurting yourself. repeat 5 to 10 times taking a 15 to 20 min break in between. It will help baby drop into position and that will trigger labor to start.
Good Luck and Hang in there. Baby will come out when he/she is ready!!

your cervix is getting ready to deliver the baby. Don't get discourage, its comming soon. I did the same thing with my 2 deliveries.
Make sure that the baby is moving well everyday for at least 10 times. If you think you are ruptured, go to the hospital, usually, they will keep you and induce you since you are already there.
Good luck!

Asked to be induced. And do not think the baby will be born on the day of being induced I was induced at 8am and she was born at 3am the next day. But my labour was fast and she was born in 30 mins and the pain was mild

when it it meant to be the child will come.... your cervix is pretty thin ... I know I went from a 2-10 in a half an hour so don't worry about that.... maybe you should talk to your doctor about inducing labor

I induced my own labor but it is risky if you have any high risk complications. DO NOT TRY THIS IF YOU DO!!!

Go to a drug store and buy Castor Oil and some 7up or juice as a chaser. take 2 tsp. and chase it because it is HORRID TASTING!!! Then wait for 2 hours for any change, mine happened within minutes of taking it. My twin girls were born within 5 hours of doing this via c section... Good luck and congrats!
